June 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Metro is currently operating in active regime,
ABC.AZ reports, citing company’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadov.
Mammadov said that despite the increase in the number of passengers, it is impossible to shorten the interval between metro trains: "Currently, the interval between metro trains is 2 minutes – this is the most optimal form.
Even if we wanted to, it is technically impossible to shorten this interval. I would also add that the density currently observed is lower than in 2019. Since 1 June, the metro ventilation system has switched to summer regime. The decision on the movement of trains will be made in late June or early July. Currently, the winter regime is in effect, and 40-46 trains are brought to the line during the day."
