June 7, Fineko/abc.az. The import of cars from Russia in Azerbaijan has been halted, the local representative office of one of the manufacturing companies informs.

ABC.AZ reports that as a reason indicated is that currently no production is carried out in Russia. The interest of drivers in the vehicles of this country has decreased in recent years. Transport expert Farhad Eyubov notes that Russian cars lag behind others in a range of parameters.

For this reason, the expert believes that stopping the import of these vehicles will not have significant impact on the local market. Farhad Eyubov added that the high selling prices of new models of Russian cars also reduces the demand for them.
