April 26, Fineko/abc.az. Cars with electric motors re expected to be exempt from import duties, ABC.AZ reports, citing by Tariel Alyverdiyev, the head of the Customs Payments Department at the State Customs Committee.

He noted that under law, currently the import of this type of transport is free from VAT. The next benefit may be the exemption of these cars from import duties.

Along with this, the expansion of infrastructure for electric vehicles is also one of the priority goals.

Exemption from energy duties for these cars is expected with this purpose.
