April 11, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank has lowered its forecasts on the growth of GDP in Azerbaijan in 2022 and 2023, ABC.AZ informs with reference to WB’s report.
The economic growth forecast for this year has been lowered from 3.1% to 2.7% and for the next year from 2.7% to 2.2%.
The WB also revised forecasts on GDP growth in Georgia and Armenia. Thus, the bank expects that this year economic growth in Georgia will be 2.5%, and next year - 5.5%, which is respectively 3 p.p. less and 0.5 p.p. more than a year earlier. In Armenia, the economic growth forecast for this year has been reduced by 3.6 p.p. to 1.2%, and next year by 0.8 p.p. to 4.6%.
