September 1, Fineko/abc.az. According to the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), transactions using "UnionPay" cards issued by resident financial institutions exceeded 200,000 AZN across 2.2 thousand transactions by the end of July. Compared to the same period last year, the transaction volume grew 6.7-fold (by over 170,000 AZN), while the number of transactions expanded 11-fold (by over 2,000).

Additionally, transactions conducted within Azerbaijan using "UnionPay" cards issued by non-resident financial institutions reached 2.4 thousand in count, with a total value of 300,000 AZN during the reporting period.
