March 17, Fineko/abc.az. According to the AzerGold Strategic Plan, along with new Greenfield projects, from 2022 to 2029 it is planned to put into operation 10 fields, including 4 gold fields, 1 polymetallic field, 3 copper fields and 2 iron ore fields, ABC.AZ reports, citing AzerGold’s deputy chairman of board Khayyam Farzaliyev.

He added that exploration and research work on several promising sites is carried out according to plan: "During the period of activity the company has carried out about 240,000 m of drilling operations, which is considered a high indicator in the mining industry of the country. Since 2017, metal reserves in the amount of 179,000 ounces in gold equivalent have increased 24 times - up to 4.4 million ounces in gold equivalent."
