March 11, Fineko/abc.az. The procedure for issuing civil passports to citizens of Azerbaijan residing abroad has changed.
ABC.AZ reports that the today-signed presidential decree has endorsed the relevant amendment to the Regulation on the application of the Law on Passports.
Thus, from now on, when issuing or changing a civil passport to Azerbaijani citizens living abroad, when issuing an identity card or a civil passport to a citizen who has received a civil passport for the first time to a citizen who has not reached the age of 18, a birth certificate and a medical certificate of blood type will also be required.
In addition, as before, an application for the issuance of a civil passport will be required - a questionnaire, a document on payment of state duty, and when issuing a passport to a citizen under the age of 15 - a document confirming the rights of the adoptive parent, guardian or trustee of children left without parental care.
