Cost of oil grows, and Brent exceeds $100 a barrel

February 24, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for benchmark oil are rising in Thursday's trading, with Brent above $100 a barrel for the first time since 2014.

By 9:15 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the April’s Brent crude futures rose by $4.41 (4.55%) up to $101.25 per barrel. Following the trading on 23 February, the price of Brent oil futures for April did not change and remained $96.84 per barrel.

By 9:15 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for April soared in price by $4.22 (4.58%) up to $96.32 per barrel. Following the trading on 23 February, the price of April WTI oil futures grew by $0.19 (0.21%) up to $92.10 per barrel.
