Inflation in eurozone has accelerated

February 23, Fineko/abc.az. The annual inflation in 19 eurozone countries accelerated up to 5% for January 2022 (against 5.1% a month earlier), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the European Statistical Agency (Eurostat).

This is the highest indicator for all the time of Eurostat observations. A year ago, inflation in the eurozone was only 0.9%.

In January 2022 alone, consumer prices in the eurozone rose by 0.3%. At that, core annual inflation decreased to 2.3% from 2.6%.
