February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has amended the Code of Administrative Offences.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the changes, a new fine has been introduced. In addition, the amount of the existing fine has been increased by 4 times.

Thus, Paragraph 279.0.1-1 has been added to Article 279 of the Code (Violation of the requirements of legislation in the field of gas, electric and thermal energy).

According to this article, a fine will be imposed for violating the rules of maintenance of gas installations and gas pipelines, chimneys, as well as ventilation and lines. For individuals, a fine of 200-400 manats is provided, for officials – 1,000-1,500 manats, for legal entities – 2,500-3,000 manats.

In addition, another article of the Code has been changed. According to the amendment to Article 542 (non-compliance with the requirements of the relevant executive authority exercising control over gas supplies), fines in this area have been increased several times. Thus, fines for individuals have been increased from 70-100 manats up to 200-400 manats. Fines for officials have been increased from 350-500 up to 1,000-1,500 manats. In addition, a fine for legal entities in the amount of 2,000-3,000 manats has been established for such violations.
