In November 2021, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance of Azerbaijan and the Social Protection Organization of Turkey. As a result of the three-year Memorandum of Understanding between us, cooperation will be further strengthened, the experience of Turkey will be used, in the future work will be carried out on mutual recognition of our insurance. Turkish citizens will be able to use their insurance in Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijani citizens will also be able to use compulsory health insurance in Turkey.
ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by Zaur Aliyev, the chairman of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance of Azerbaijan.
He noted that the action plan between the two organizations is a three-year one: "There are plans for certain areas for each year. The plan for this year is mainly the financing of compulsory health insurance and the introduction of information technologies. During three days we’ll work closely in this direction with the employees of the Social Protection Organization of Turkey."
