Oil drops in value, and Brent is at $79.73 a barrel

January 6, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are decreasing in Thursday’s trading after a rise following the previous trading.

By 9:30 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the March’s Brent crude futures fell by $1.07 (1.32%) to $79.73 per barrel. Following the trading on 5 January, the price of Brent crude futures for March grew by $0.80 (1%) up to $80.80 per barrel.

By 9:30 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for February declined in price by $0.99 (1.27%) to $76.86 per barrel. Following the trading on 5 January, the price of February’s WTI oil futures increased by $0.86 (1.12%) up to $77.85 per barrel.
