ABC.AZ reports that the number of electric vehicles sold by Tesla in 2021 totaled 936,172 - almost twice as much as the previous record figure of 2020 - 499,647 cars.

This figure is the highest ever recorded.

The owner of the company is Elon Musk. He also owns SpaceX.
