December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Mammad Abbasbeyli has been appointed the head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Control of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy in accordance with the relevant presidential decree.
ABC.AZ reports that Abbasbeyli has been a full member of the New York State Bar Association of the USA since 2000. He started his career in 2000 in New York-based law firm Salans Hertzfeld & Heilbron, until 2003 he worked in the Baku office of the company. In 2004-2008, he worked as a lawyer, the head of the legal department and general manager in a number of large foreign industrial and investment corporations.
In 2009-2014, he was the CEO of a foreign company operating in Azerbaijan. In 2019, he was appointed Advisor to the Economy Minister. On July 8, 2020, he was appointed deputy head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Control of the Consumer Market.
