December 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 61,500 ounces of gold in 2021 (2% more against 2020), ABC.AZ reports citing Zakir Ibragimov, the chairman of board at AzerGold CJSC.
Speaking about silver mining, he noted that more than 135,000 ounces of silver were extracted over Jan-Dec (11% more versus 2020).
Ibragimov stressed that at the beginning of this year the demand for gold and silver products in the domestic market has sharply increased against the background of changes in tax and customs legislation.
