September 1, Fineko/abc.az. The value of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) notes in circulation exceeded 1.5 billion manats for the first time since October 26, 2023.

As reported by ABC.AZ, the CBA provided the information.

According to the information, on August 27, the total value of the notes increased by 82.5 million manats compared with August 26, reaching 1 billion 525 million manats.

The CBA has been implementing a new monetary policy since September 1, 2022. As part of the policy, 84-, 168- and 252-day notes were introduced into circulation alongside 28-day notes. Their current annual yields are 5.9%, 6.01%, 6.1% and 6.21%, respectively.
