Benefits and pensions of some categories of citizens increased

December 20, Fineko/abc.az. Benefits and pensions have been increased in compliance with the new decrees and orders of the head of state.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection that the increase in benefits and pensions will affect the following categories of citizens:

- disabled people and persons caring for group I disabled people;

- children with disabilities and their caregivers;

- old-age benefit recipients;

- recipients of survivor's allowance;

- children of conscripts;

- guardians of children;

- women with more than five children;

- low-income families with children under one year old (receiving targeted social assistance);

- those who adopted a child;

- unemployed, retired doctors of science and philosophy;

- holders of honorary titles "People's" and "Honored";

- doctoral students and students.

The following lump-sum benefits are also increased:

- lump-sum allowance at the birth of a child;

- lump-sum allowance for funeral.
