December 16, Fineko/abc.az. China will surpass the U.S. on GDP in 2033, but the U.S. can regain leadership in 2050.

ABC.AZ reports that this forecast was made by experts of the Japanese Center for Economic Research.

In December 2020, in a similar report, the Center's experts predicted that China would overtake the U.S. on GDP in 2028.

However, they revised their calculations, taking into account the slowdown in labor productivity growth in China and the growing impact of population decline.

Japanese experts believe that the aging of the population will lead to an increase in social spending, which will reduce Beijing's opportunities in the field of state incentives for high-tech industry.
