March 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku City State Traffic Police has appealed to motorists.

ABC.AZ reports that heavy traffic has been observed on the capital's roads lately.

"During traffic jams on central streets in rush hours drivers use sound signals unnecessarily. This primarily causes discontent among the residents of the capital. Our drivers should know that according to the requirements of the Law on Road Traffic, sound signals can be used in populated areas only for the purpose of preventing road accidents.

Otherwise, it is an administrative violation and motorists can be fined under Article 329.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences. Once again, we ask drivers not to break the rules," the Traffic Police Department said in a statement.
