February 1, Fineko/abc.az. The increase in tariffs for the supply of water and the discharge of wastewater for the population will lead to an increase of Azersu’s income by AZN 92.5 million.

ABC.AZ reports that Azersu’s department head Elchin Jamalov made such a statement.

He noted that due to growth of water price, the water consumption is expected to decrease by 3-5%.

"The increase in tariffs will reduce the dependence of Azersu on the country’s budget, but the State Budget will continue subsidizing the water company. In 2021, the State Budget will allocate AZN 45 million of subsidies to the company,” Azersu’s rep said.
