October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Elik LLC has been granted a license to perform currency exchange operations.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Central Bank’s chair Elman Rustamov as saying this at an online press conference.

Rustamov noted that this company is the only organization that performs currency exchange operations outside of banks. According to the CBA chair, the requirements for currency exchange points are still conservative:

"It is important to meet the conditions. Currency exchange offices of banks operate on the basis of banking legislation and capital requirements of banks. I would not say that the requirements of non-banking organizations for conducting currency exchange operations are strict, but objectively conservative. We evaluate each request objectively. If they are issued in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, there are no restrictions".
