October 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has taken a decision to maintain the discount rate at the level of 6.5%.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by CBA’s chairman Elman Rustamov at an online press conference.

Rustamov noted that the upper limit of the discount rate corridor was kept at 7% and the lower limit at 6%.

The CBA chair stressed that the decline in oil prices and geopolitical risks make it difficult to reduce the discount rate.
