July 7, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's demand for natural gas in 2019 increased by 15% up to 2.5 bn cu m. 99.8% of this volume was imported from abroad.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to AzerTaj that this is stated in the report 2019 of the Georgian National Energy & Water Supply Regulation Commission.

It is noted that last year Georgia bought 93% of the consumed natural gas from Azerbaijan.

Thus, Azerbaijan became the main supplier of natural gas to Georgia.
