UK`s central bank held a meeting – Interest rate remained unchanged

June 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Bank of England has conducted a meeting to re-consider interest rates.

ABC.AZ reports that the BoE kept the base interest rate at the end of the June meeting at the level of 0.1%.

At the meeting, the Bank of England decided to increase the volume of the government bond repurchase program by 100 billion pounds - up to 745 billion pounds.

Bank officials also stressed that they are ready to take more steps if necessary to support the economy.
