June 2, Fineko/abc.az. “It is gratifying that the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on the introduction of a new budget rule approved the certain indicators on the deficit of the non-oil base.”

ABC.AZ reports with reference to news agency Report that the above-mentioned statement was made by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

According to the minister, in 2019 those indicators were met in the direction of the goal quite quickly: “26.6% against 31.1%. This is also an indication that practical measures are being taken to gradually reduce dependence on the oil sector. The budget rule also serves to these purposes."
