May 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over January-April 2020 Azerbaijan’s electricity generating grew by 68.2 million kWh (versus the 2019 same term) up to 8.896 bn kWh.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that for the reporting period production of electricity increased by 189.2 million kWh up to 8.435 bn kWh at thermal power plants and decreased by 120.2 million kWh up to 341.8 million kWh at hydroelectric power plants. As for other electricity generating sources (wind and solar power plants, incineration plant of solid household waste), generation of electricity on them decreased by 800,000 kWh to 119.7 million kWh. Wind power plants generated 34.5 million kWh, solar power plants 13.4 million kWh, and solid waste incineration plant 71.8 million kWh.
