April 14, Fineko/abc.az. Today, President Ilham Aliyev chaired a meeting in the form of a videoconference dedicated to the socio-economic results of the first quarter of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of state noted that further reforms in Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 have led to good results.

Speaking about the work done in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, President Aliyev noted that the situation in Azerbaijan is under control.

The president, who tasked the government with a number of instructions regarding the impact of the pandemic on the economic situation, said that 2020 will also be a period of deep reforms covering many areas. Then Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Central Bank’s chairman of board Elman Rustamov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Labor & Social Protection Sahil Babayev, Agriculture Minister Inam Kerimov delivered speeches.
