January 22, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR continues investing in Turkey. In particular, the Company is going to deal with construction of a power plant for Star oil refinery in Aliaga district of Izmir. 

ABC.AZ was reported on the occasion from several Turkish media. 

SOCAR plans to invest 100 million Turkish liras ($16.8 million) in the construction of the plant. The power plant to be built in the first special industrial zone of Turkey in Aliaga is expected to meet the electricity needs of refinery Star and other industrial facilities. 

The plant will generate 125.6 MW of electricity and 169.6 MW of heat.
The launch of the power plant construction project is scheduled for June or July.
