July 31, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank has announced the volume of payment transactions carried out in Azerbaijan in the 1st half of this year through interbank payment systems.

In particular, this year the volume of payment transactions amounted to AZN 131.3 bn and the number of transactions 25.378 million. This testifies about a rise of 5.1% and 41.3% respectively (versus the 2018 same term).

Over the first 6 months the transactions through government’s payment portal amounted to AZN 1.412 bn (34% more against the 2018 same term). AZN 551 million of those operations were carried out by bank transfer. This figure increased 3.4 times compared to the first half of last year.
