December 5, Fineko/abc.az. The 12th meeting of the State Commission on Economic, Trade & Humanitarian Affairs between Azerbaijan and Iran will take place in Astara (Iran) at the end of December.

The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan reports that Economy Minister and co-chair of the Commission Shahin Mustafayev and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh held a meeting.

"The sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest. In particular, they discussed work on transport corridor North-South and financing of railway line Rasht-Astara," the MoE said in a statement.

During the meeting the parties covered the matter of construction of Azerbaijani-Iranian pharmaceutical factory in industrial park Pirallahi and work at a joint car factory in Neftchala Industrial Zone.
