May 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Financial Market Supervision Authority (FIMSA) reports that as of 30 April 2019 the total assets of banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 29.769 bn.

In April, 42.6% of sector's assets accounted for the loan portfolio. During the month the net loan portfolio increased by 0.3% (AZN 30.3 million). The total loan portfolio of banks at the end of the month amounted to AZN 12.67 bn. Last month there was an increase in loans in the national currency.

Thus, the loans in the national currency grew by 1.4% (AZN 110.9 million) up to AZN 8.09 bn in April.
