April 26, Fineko/abc.az. Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov said that currently 213 million banknotes are in circulation in Azerbaijan.

"45% of the banknotes are of small denomination. Due to their large use, 80% of banknotes in denomination of 1, 5 and 10 manats wear out. But our national currency is completely hygienic and is made from 100% cotton," Rustamov said.
