November 5, Fineko/abc.az. According to the proposed amendments to the Law on Medical Insurance, the introduction of co-financing under compulsory medical insurance is postponed until January 1, 2030.
Under valid law, citizens who applied directly to specialist doctors, bypassing primary health care (family or district doctor), had to pay an additional fee - the amount of co-financing.
Previously, it was assumed that this rule would come into force on January 1, 2027. However, the new draft law proposes to postpone its introduction for another three years.
Thus, by 2030, insured persons will be able to contact specialist doctors directly and receive medical services without additional payment.
