October 29, Fineko/abcnews. French automaker Renault Group (RENA.PA) beat revenue expectations for the third quarter of 2026, generating €11.6 billion ($13.0 billion).
According to the official report, quarterly revenue rose 1.4% at constant exchange rates. Although total sales volume dropped 6% to 497,799 vehicles due to stiff competition from Chinese rivals, strong demand for electric vehicles (EVs), which comprised 25.8% of total sales, supported top-line growth. EV sales under the Renault brand surged 75.2% year-to-date, propelled by the electric Renault 5 and the newly launched Twingo.
Following the upbeat results, Renault shares listed in Paris jumped 7.8%, marking their biggest single-day gain since 2022. The group also reiterated its full-year operating margin target of around 5.5%.
