October 29, Fineko/abc.az. In September 2026, construction became the only one of the four main sectors of the Azerbaijani economy monitored by the Central Bank, where the confidence index was in negative territory. In other leading sectors of the economy, the indicator remained positive.

According to the CBA monitoring data of the real sector, in September, the confidence index in industry amounted to 13 points, in the service sector - 17.6 points, and in retail trade - 17.9 points.

Despite the negative dynamics of the confidence index, there was improvement in the price expectations of enterprises in the construction sector.

The indicator of price expectations for the next three months increased from minus 24.6 points in August to minus 4.6 points in September.

At that, the main factors reflecting the continued stagnation in construction were a drop in the number of orders accepted for execution over the past 3 months to minus 60.7 points and decline in the demand for labor to minus 20.2 points.
