October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Expenditures on technological innovations in the Azerbaijani industry increased sharply in 2025 and reached 20.179 million manats.

In 2024 this figure was 5.34 million manats, thus, expenses grew by nearly 4 times during the year.

The main part of the annual expenses, namely 12.1 million manats, was the purchase of machinery and equipment for technological innovations.

In addition, 4.34 million manats were allocated for the acquisition of new technologies and 2.04 million manats for software.

The mining sector accounted for the largest share of innovation spending: spending in this area grew more than 10-fold during the year, from 1.15 million manats up to 12.07 million manats.
