China Suspends Refined Oil Exports "Until Further Notice"

16:08 - 2.10.2026

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese oil refineries suspended exports of refined petroleum products to regions outside Hong Kong and Macao effective October 1, according to market reports.

To secure domestic supplies, state-owned PetroChina canceled the majority of its planned gasoline and jet fuel shipments for October. Similarly, private refining giant Zhejiang Petrochemical Corp (ZPC) halted fuel exports for the upcoming holiday week.

Market analysts warn that the suspension of Chinese exports will further tighten global fuel supplies—already strained by reductions from the Middle East and Russia—potentially driving refined product prices to new record highs in several countries.
