September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijani insurance companies gathered 559.5 million manats of life premiums.

According to the Central Bank, this figure was a rsie of 61 million manats or 12.2% against Jan-Aug 2025. Over Jan-Aug 2025, premiums on this type of insurance totaled 498.5 million manats.

The dynamics of a sharp increase in life insurance payments was also recorded.

Thus, for the past 8 months of this year, the insurers paid 561.6 million manats of compensations to customers (141.7 million manats or 33.8% more than a year earlier). For comparison, in the same period of 2025, this figure was 419.9 million manats.
