September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Due to supply restrictions in the U.S. and Europe, prices for kerosene for jet engines again approached peak values.

The cost of aviation kerosene rose up to $4.55 per gallon on the Gulf Coast and up to $4.75 in New York.

In Europe, kerosene stocks have dropped to their lowest level in the last 7 years amid supply chain disruptions.

Rising prices at global markets have created an opportunity for Azerbaijan to increase export revenues.

Thus, in the first 7 months of 2026, Azerbaijan exported 65,850 tons of aviation kerosene, generating revenue of $66.23 million, and became a net exporter compared to last year.

Despite the reduction in production in the country by 22.5% to 261,670 tons, an increase in the average price of one ton of exported fuel by 30.1% to $1,005.8 significantly increased the volume of currency entering the country.
