Gold Drops to $4,366 as Investors Weigh Fed Rate Hike and Inflation Outlook

September 21, Fineko/abc.az. Gold prices slipped as market participants evaluated persistent inflation risks and the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy trajectory. Spot gold dropped 0.3% to $4,366.64 per ounce, after briefly dipping below $4,360 earlier in the session.

The price movement follows the Fed's decision last week to raise its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to curb persistent inflation. While markets were reassured by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's policy independence despite political pressure, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari warned that price pressures remain widespread across the economy.

Meanwhile, spot silver gained 0.2% to $66.42, while Brent crude held above $100 per barrel amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.
