Azerbaijan’s direct investments in Kyrgyzstan increased much

September 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, in the 1st half of 2026, Azerbaijan’s direct investments into the Kyrgyz economy increased 5.8-fold year-on-year and reached $5.22 million.

According to the indicators of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, by July 1, Azerbaijan’s accumulated direct investments in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $68.8 million, and in the opposite direction - $25.2 million.

The value of projects in the portfolio of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, the main mediator of this capital inflow, increased up to $76.7 million by the end of June.

Investments were mainly directed to the energy, textile, healthcare, construction and industrial sectors, including hotel complex Baku Resort & Spa in Issyk-Kul and the construction of small hydroelectric power plants.
