October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2026, the share of investments in North America, the Middle East and Asia increased in the investment portfolio of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ).

The share of European countries in SOFAZ investments made up 26.3% as of October 1, 2026.

Compared to October 1, 2025, this indicator declined by 2.8 p.p.

The share of North American countries in the investment portfolio grew by 2.6 p.p. up to 27.4%, Asia by 1 p.p. up to 9.5%, the Middle East by 0.5 p.p. up to 1.9%, Australia and New Zealand by 0.1 p.p. up to 1.1%. The share of Latin American countries remained unchanged at the level of 0.1%.

The share of international financial organizations in SOFAZ investments decreased by 0.9 p.p. to 1.4% and gold by 0.5 p.p. to 32.3%.
