September 14, Fineko/abc.az. The price of natural gas in Europe has increased by nearly 55% over the past 2 months and reached $1,000 per 1,000 cu m.

At Dutch gas hub TTF , the price hovers around €80 per megawatt hour (MWh), which is the highest since November 2022. During some sessions, prices exceeded €83/MWh, crossing the threshold of $1,000.

The main reasons for the price increase are problems with the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Middle East, low reserves in European storage facilities and increased competition with the Asian market.
