September 11, Fineko/abc.az. The price of Azerbaijan's flagship crude oil, Azeri Light (CIF), recorded a sharp increase on the global market. The benchmark rose by $6.22, or 5.49%, to settle at $119.54 per barrel.

The upward trajectory reflects broader bullish dynamics across global energy markets. Historically, Azeri Light hit its all-time low of $15.81 per barrel in April 2020, while its record high reached $149.66 in July 2008. For context, Azerbaijan’s state budget for 2026 is based on a conservative average oil price assumption of $65 per barrel.
