September 10, Fineko/abc.az. As of September 1, 2026, the number of registered taxpayers in Azerbaijan increased by 4.7% year-on-year and reached 1,722,227 people.

According to the State Tax Service, 86.7% of taxpayers are individuals and 13.3% - legal entities.

By the end of August, the number of commercial institutions increased by 6.6% up to 212,668. Out of the 1,114 new companies registered during the month, 85.4% were local and 14.6% were foreign investors.

96.6% of new local LLCs are registered electronically.
