Growth reported on sugar and cotton yarn exports - 2.3-fold and 62.2%

September 8, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan's non–oil exports (excluding non-monetary gold) increased by 17.6% for Jan-Aug 2026 up to $2.81 billion.

Such preliminary data is provided in the September issue of the Export Review by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications (CAERC).

In August, non-oil exports grew by 13% year-on-year up to $350.8 million.

Over Jan-Aug 2026, exports of food products amounted to $80.7 million and non-food products - $251.1 million, a rise of 11.4%.

For the past 8 months, exports of sugar observed growth 2.3-fold, cotton yarn - by 62.2%, aluminum and products made from it - by 42.8%, vegetable and animal fats and oils - by 30.2%, ferrous metals and products made from them - by 20.5%, cotton fiber - by 17.8%, fruits and vegetables - by 13.7%, tea - by 12.1%.

Exports of agricultural products grew by 19.2% up to $732 million and exports of agro-industrial products by 22.1% up to $255.8 million. Overall exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 19.9% up to $987.8 million.
