15:21 - 3.09.2026

September 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan introduced a customs clearance procedure on September 3 for goods purchased through e-commerce and delivered by express services. The changes were introduced to the Customs Code.

Goods delivered by express services must be declared to customs authorities in advance and remain under customs control until clearance is completed.

Goods intended for personal use will be cleared under a preferential and simplified procedure, while commercial goods will require the relevant customs declaration.

The express delivery of goods prohibited from civilian circulation, as well as restricted goods without the required permits, is not allowed. Such goods are subject to seizure by customs authorities.
