September 7, Fineko/abc.az. Seven core OPEC+ members—Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman—agreed during a virtual meeting to maintain their required oil production levels for October unchanged from September. The alliance reaffirmed its commitment to market stability while evaluating compliance and broader market dynamics before taking further policy steps.

The decision comes at a time when export disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz continue to restrict physical crude flows, limiting the group's direct impact on physical supply. Although OPEC+ previously completed the phase-out of 1.65 million barrels per day in voluntary cuts by September, conflict-related supply bottlenecks mean several members continue to produce well below their designated output targets.

The seven producers are scheduled to convene for their next monthly review on October 4.
