August 27, 2026, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank) have reviewed opportunities for cooperation across various segments of the energy sector, including the refining industry.

The discussion took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and a delegation led by Wang Kang, Vice President of China Exim Bank. The parties highlighted the successful development of ties between SOCAR, Chinese companies, and financial institutions, exchanging views on current and future projects implemented by SOCAR both in Azerbaijan and abroad, as well as the bank’s role in supporting international economic cooperation.
