August 27, Fineko/abc.az. The US Department of Justice has charged state-sponsored Chinese hackers with launching widespread cyberattacks against critical infrastructure and government agencies, including NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Department of Energy, and the US Senate.

Officials named the state-linked hacker group "QTFY" as the perpetrator, noting that it operates under contract for China's Ministry of State Security and the military. Joint security advisories from the FBI and NSA indicate the group's operations date back to at least 2018.

In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian dismissed the allegations, accusing Washington of smearing Beijing without concrete evidence.
